The demands on Project Teams are high, and only ge The demands on Project Teams are high, and only get higher with the added complexities of live sites. Can you comfortably demonstrate your compliance and back up your proposals ready for entering the gateway process.?

As we work with more and more High Risk Buildings, we are finding the same questions emerging, and the same gaps. We want you to be prepared, so we're providing you with an in-depth look at what that prep looks like.

TOMORROW, we're back with what promises to be an unmissable lunch and learn session.

Joined by Max, Colin, and Cathal, we are hosting "Taking Higher Risk Buildings through Gateway 2 & 3: What we've learned and what we're seeing". Within the hour's session we look to provide you with a vital BSA update, taking into account the positives, negatives, and everything in between when it comes to Gateway processes and BSR regulations.

💚Yesterday we had our P4 wellness day. Held in Liverpool, our National, London, and North West teams were reunited for a special all day event.

🥶Starting off strong with an early morning trip to Wyld Sauna, those brave enough to take a dip found themselves awakened and refreshed, kicking off the day with a bang.

🥐☕After some light networking with pastries and caffeine, Steve Rossiter and Fiona Lavin took the floor to welcome the team, and lay out the day's agenda.

🚌🛥️⛳Everyone took their cue and headed off to do a range of activities including a bus tour, river cruise, and a golf simulator, all taking place across the city centre.

🔴🔵🟢🟡Once reconvened, we had a beautiful food spread laid on by Graze, before being joined by Paul Cope to deliver a session based around our personalities. Titled "Looking at our colours", the time was spent taking a quiz and discussing the results in a range of scenarios, based upon the book "Surrounded by Idiots". It definitely confirmed that our mix of colours is what makes our amazing team.🔴🔵🟢🟡

🍺Ending off with our standard P4 networking drinks, it was truly a wonderful day.

Onwards to the next one💚
Thursday is P4 Wellness Day! 🙌 We work hard, thin Thursday is P4 Wellness Day! 🙌

We work hard, things move quickly and, let's be honest, life at P4 can be pretty busy.

So, we think it's important to make time to stop, switch off and enjoy ourselves too.

No big corporate wellbeing programme. Just a day to get together, have some fun and do something a bit different.

We've got a pretty varied day planned in Liverpool - coffee and catch-ups, a choice of activities around the city, lunch, a team session and, naturally, a few drinks to finish things off!

Looking forward to getting everyone together, finding a bit of joy in the day and spending some time away from the usual P4 routine.

Many of the issues we see on site, can be prevente Many of the issues we see on site, can be prevented before the work even starts. Basic things are overlooked, leading to complications later and questions needing answers.

The recent HSE statistics give us the national picture. But they don’t necessarily tell us what those risks look like when you walk onto a construction site.

We looked at 62 recent site audits and found the same things in the majority. The overarching themes? Readiness and accountability. If you're not following through on what your risk assessments say you'll do, what's the point? If you're waiting till later to follow up the basics, you've already lost.

"A lot of the issues we see on site can be influenced much earlier. It's all in the planning and preparation." Tony Sharp, P4

Our latest article in conversation with Tony candidly sets out what we're seeing and gives you six questions to ask before work starts.

As September comes to end, it brings to a close th As September comes to end, it brings to a close this year's suicide prevention month campaign.

Mental health doesn't go away, in fact every waking moment everyone has it whether it's good or bad.

If you are in need of support, please remember your chance to reach out is not restricted to the times when it's more prevalent in the news and media. 24/7, 365 days a year, someone out there is ready to listen to your story.

We've put together a whistlestop tour of what construction based (and general) mental health charities are available to you.

Remember to speak to people and ask how they are, you never know, it might just save their life.
Another month done and dusted and we have lots to Another month done and dusted and we have lots to celebrate, including 4 of our team's birthdays!

With a 21st milestone, dinner with family, a spa day, and time at home, Ethan, Allie, Denise, and Richard all spent their birthday days off in style.

Happy returns to you all, and here's to another trip around the sun!
It's about time we introduced you to another membe It's about time we introduced you to another member of the team...

This month we sat down with Haley Crowe, to hear all about what she does in and out of P4.

As Project Coordinator, Haley, alongside the National team, handles the day-to-day logistics, scheduling, and administrative details that keep our projects running smoothly and on schedule. With our team of PCs, Haley works behind the scenes, making sure we deliver, direct, and succeed to the highest quality.

At home, Haley's productivity soars just as much as it does in the office. From DIY and gardening, to volunteering at her local charity's educational farm, she keeps very busy.

Haley is known for her organisation, her tenacity, and her warmth with clients and colleagues across the country, and we are so pleased she continues to choose P4 as she approaches her 1 year anniversary with us in December.

Find out more about her below and see why P4 makes an impact in her life...

⭐Congratulations are in order for our Victoria Ellis-Johnson Tech IOSH who has recently been promoted to Associate. We are so excited to see you embrace this new role and continue the excellence you already bring everyday.

🧠The CDM team were all in Liverpool this week for a technical team day and were joined by Steve Hannah from LAR for a presentation on all things Asbestos & Horizon Specialist Contracting Limited to talk about Access Clean and Maintenance Solutions. All of the team had nothing but positive words about the day, thank you to everyone who joined us.

⛳Last Friday, Max Meadows and Tony Sharp went to a client golf day, and Tony won! Always good to take the networking out of the office.

✅We've had another few gateway approvals, and the team are so pleased to have got their projects involved over the line.

🏗️More site visits!

✈️We're heading to MIPIM 2027! We were announced this week as Partner Pro for next year's North of England Expo. Very exciting times ahead.

These weeks are flying, and so are all of our team These weeks are flying, and so are all of our teams across the country.

It's been non-stop from meetings and events, to birthday milestones and pup visits... let's take a look.

⭐Connor and Anthony took to London to deliver a BSA training session to clients.

⭐Buddy came to visit! Having a dog friendly office is never a bad idea @avenue_hq

⭐Vic was a part of the Women in Construction Safety panel at the 3M Construction Advisory Council 2026, keeping the conversation moving and bringing the different perspectives together.

⭐Ethan is 21! A huge milestone to celebrate. A decorated desk and banners awaited him this morning before the big day this weekend.

⭐The team have secured not one, not two, not three, but FOUR gateway approvals over the last week. Amazing effort from all involved.

Phew, that was a busy one, time to wrap up, and recharge ready for next week's madness.
When people choose to spend another year of their When people choose to spend another year of their career with us, it’s important to stop for a minute and say thank you. We’ve got 4 work anniversaries with us this September, with varying lengths of P4 service.

Harry - 1️⃣ year
Steve - 2️⃣ years
Fiona - 3️⃣years
Tony - 8️⃣years

It says a lot when everyone says they choose P4 for the people and culture. It shows we’re more than just a workplace, we take on good people who all strive for the same goals in their own ways. We’re proud of all our staff, and it’s good to hear they value each other as much as we value them.

Here’s to another year of success, happiness, and who knows, more celebrity encounters?🤷🏼‍♀️
Friday is upon us again, so what have you been up Friday is upon us again, so what have you been up to? Us first:

Today marks World Suicide Prevention Day. Every p Today marks World Suicide Prevention Day.

Every person you meet will be battling something they don't share. They may have lost someone today, or they may not be able to live with the loss of someone a year ago. They may have just lost their job, they may be carrying an injury, or they may just have the weight of the world on their shoulders. Something little to you, could be the end of the world to them.

Suicide in the construction industry remains one of the leading causes of death in the UK, with 2 people every day, take that in - everyday, losing their life.

We may not always have the right words - but sometimes a listening ear is all we need. A simple 'how are you, really' can completely change the course of someone's trajectory.

The fact remains - everyone would rather hear your worries than attend your funeral. Please reach out if you need support.

Padel & Pints! 🎾 It’s no secret that some of our Padel & Pints! 🎾

It’s no secret that some of our P4 crew are well acquainted in the art of padel, as are our friends at OPTIMUS FACILITIES. With that in mind we got to thinking...wouldn’t it be good to get everyone together, clients and teams, on the court?

So here we have it, the Optimus and P4 brainchild, Padel and Pints, is born.

This October, we’re encouraging our network to step away from from the usual meetings and project environments that we find ourselves coming together in. It’s the perfect opportunity to network, build relationships, and have some friendly competition, without the confines of a meeting room.

We’ll be kicking things off with breakfast and networking before stepping onto the courts for an Americano-style padel tournament. This will be followed by a few well-earned drinks afterwards!

This is an invite-only event, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming our guests and getting both the Optimus and P4 teams involved.

Clients, colleagues, competition…and a pint (or two) to finish. What could possibly go wrong?!
